What i eat during a day

A few of you are having questions about eating. Below I wrote out a typical day of eating for me.
I hope it will help you understand healthy eating. I eat often to keep my metabolism going and i eat for energy and health. I feel healthier than i did in my 20's, so that is my pay off.

6:00-3 cups of warm water and then coffee with agave nector
7:00-oatmeal with agave nector and almond milk
8:00- protein  shake
8:30- multi vitamin, omega 3
10:30-raw potato,(yes, it's weird, but i love raw potatoes) hand full of walnuts
12:00-rice wrap with chicken breast and tomato sauce and a little cheese on it
2:00- carrot, orange
3:00- banana, hand full of raisins
4:00- sweet potato with squash and gluten free pasta(i cooked it in coconut oil)
5:00- carrot
7:30-pop corn(2 cups)

I drink 8-10 glasses of water a day
I drink 6-8 cups of tea a day
I often have 1/2 a glass of red wine at the end of the day

Approximately 2000 calories
And my calcium was low when i punched this into vitabot, our tracking system for food ( i usually have this problem so i take a calcium supplement when i remember)

  1. What's agave nector like? I've never tried it but have been hearing a lot about it. Is agave syrup different from agave nector? I've seen the syrup while grocery shopping but didn't know if nector was better so I didn't buy it.

  2. What a great idea of how much we can eat in a day. I love the fact we can graze all day.
Not to sure about the raw potatoe though. Glor and I were talking about it in bootcamp remembering how you liked that in school.
I also grap carrots to get a crunch and sweet snack in the day. I love it. Thanks for that Tam. It's very inspiring.

  3. The syrup is different than the nectar. Buy it and try it, i bet you'll like it. We substitute it for sugar often. I don't even have sugar in the house.

Raw potatoes, that is so funny you guys remember that.
I remember the french fries and gravy at the chicken inn.
Too funny, wow it has been a long time.
    love you two

  4. Thanks for sharing this - very inspiring. My diet would look a little different but I think it is heading in the right direction. My Mennonite way of thinking tends to mean a pretty substantial supper for my family. That might be my weakness right now (though I am working hard at portion control and include lots of veggies in the mix).
You mentioned that you ate often to boost your metabolism. Is that healthy for most people, no matter what their metabolism is?
I'm also curious if you cook differently for your kids or would they enjoy most of those foods as well?
